This is my favorite appetizer! I love them so much when a friend asked if they could bring a snack to the church while the wedding party was getting ready (on the day of my wedding, obviously), this is what I requested. They are so easy to make (and then to make disappear).
Cucumber Sandwiches
French bread dough (I like to make my own in my bread machine and then bake it in a Pampered Chef shaped bread tube)
1 cup sour cream
dry Italian dressing mix
1 good sized cucumber (preferrably a European cucumber)
dill weed
Slice the bread about 3/4" thick. Mix dressing with sour cream. Spread on bread. Top with thinly sliced cucumber and sprinkle with dill weed. Chill till served (don't wait too long, the bread will get soggy).
