I have a SIX year old!!!

6 years ago today, I was holding my first child in my arms for the very first time. I cannot believe how time has flown. She is now this quick-witted (at 6!), mind-like-a-steel-trap (never forgets anything), green-eyed, blond haired, leggy, amazing kindergartener! She really blows me away. Her personality blows me away every single day.

However, I'm writing to you from my brand new laptop - where I don't have any pictures or clips to upload of her yet!!! Coming soon, her slideshow that we played at her party...

To celebrate we went to the pool today. Oh yeah, and walmart. Yesterday we took 3 of her friends to the sprayground where we enjoyed lunchables and cupcakes. Once again, I'll post pics soon. Sunday, was her big family party. Which has become quite a large party! My sporty little girl who does not like to wear ruffles and prefers jersey shorts, wanted a princess party. ??? So we did a princess cake. Lots of fun. And lots of pictures.

Summer is in full swing!

Summer is in full swing, although we ran fevers this week. I think I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that our summers will begin with a bang every year. I have been feeling much better (week 21 1/2 now), and it's a good thing too! What with graduation, memorial day weekend, our anniversary, Powell's birthday, Father's day, Maryanna's birthday and the 4th (coming up), it doesn't feel like we're ever going to hit the 'lazy' summer days! I'm hoping after the 4th we'll slow down a little bit. Start lounging at the pool a little more often... :-)

Today I'm preparing for Maryanna's birthday party tomorrow. But here are a few pics from a little cake I prepared for a friend, our fever day camped out in the living room, and Maryanna with her Tball coaches. Maybe one of these days I'll get more of my recipes in here!

Gronkle

Sooooo... So much for girl names! It's a BOY!!! Yea!!!

I have been seriously slacking, I know. I have pics to update and get up here and I have some really fun summer pics already!!! Plus, I'm preparing a Gronkle cake (yes, I said Gronkle) for P's birthday AND we're getting ready to have a vacation week packed full of fun activities!!! Oh, and I totally forgot - we painted the living room/kitchen and are kind of redecorating, or trying.
