Saturday we grilled out with Mom and Dad and Powell got to see his first rainbow. His little voice was so cute. 'A rainbow, Mom!' Over and over again. Of course, then he thought the stripes on his pajamas later were a rainbow. They are so smart. Maryanna of course immediately after seeing the rainbow said, 'God made the rainbow, Mommy. And he loves us very much!' I love to see what He's doing in their lives. It's a reminder that He's already beginning His own personal relationship with them. Sunday Powell's lesson at church just 'happened' to include a rainbow. It's easier to remember that they're not mine - they're His - when He's already obviously active in their lives.
Sunday was Lola's first day on cereal. She is definitely going through her 16 week growth spurt. She grinned the whole time with cereal all over her face. She put her tongue at her lips and wouldn't let me get the spoon in. We haven't been to weigh her in a while but she's sure to be around 17 pounds. Milk hasn't been near enough - she acts like she's starving! Enjoy the pictures we took of her first spoon-fed meal.
